In it, Rob Ashworth is engaged to represent a young witch who wants to sue her former fiancé for jilting her on the eve of their wedding, but learns the client is not as pure as she initially presented. He is assisted by Aleksandra Tartarkiewicz, herself a witch of some talent who is a Polish intelligence agent hiding out from Russian spell casters under an assumed name and a false passport. The story is complicated, as usual, by the intervention of Monica Gilbert, who wants to use both Rob's client and Aleksandra for her own purposes. The resolution will involve both lawyering and spell casting.
